The Vedic Immersion Retreat in Bali

  • Gaia Retreat Tejakula Bali Indonesia (map)

My dear friend Krista of Soul Shakha and I would love you to join us for a transformative and healing week on our Vedic Immersion Retreat in the lush Balinese rainforest.

For 7 glorious days and nights you’ll immerse in Vedic meditation, Vedic rounding and other expansive Vedic practices and wisdom. (New to Vedic rounding? Read more about rounding here.)

PICTURE THIS

Picture yourself waking up in Balinese paradise in your peaceful ocean front bungalow.

You rise naturally and walk across the grass for a morning dip in the pool or the ocean as the sun rises, followed by a warm outdoor shower in your private bathroom, in total privacy and surrounded by gorgeous trees and bird song.

Breakfast is unbelievable tasting fresh fruit, with your choice of delicious pancakes, toast and other local dishes.

Each day, you practice Vedic rounding in the ocean front yoga shala. Rounding is a practice consisting of gentle yoga asana, pranayama, Vedic meditation and savasana. With each round, you feel your mind-body sinking into deeper states of rest, relaxation, expansion and clarity.

VEDIC PRACTICES

Performing consecutive rounds each day over the course of a week creates a profound shift and expansion in your perspective and elevates your state of consciousness.

A week-long rounding retreat will support your body to release and unwind as much stress as you would in a year of twice-daily meditation.

You’ll have the option of attending daily yoga journey’s facilitated by Caroline (Vinyasa, Restorative) and Krista (Kriya-Kundalini), explore different Vedic technologies such as Yagna, Japa Mantra and Breathwork and receive potent Vedic knowledge in our evening sessions.

You leave the retreat feeling a profound sense of clarity and restfulness. You’ve bathed your nervous system in a profoundly deep state of rest and bliss chemistry for days on end, creating mental stillness and space unlike anything you can remember experiencing in a long while (if ever).

THE FOOD

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are abundant and plentiful, with many dishes to choose from each meal. Delicious fresh salads, soups, hot vegetarian dishes with rice, fresh fruit and homemade desserts.

You will not be hungry!

Vegan, gluten free and dairy free requirements can be accommodated.

Freshly brewed homemade chai and coffee are also available and made fresh by the gorgeous hospitality team. .

SOLO TIME

There are many secluded spots to enjoy solo time throughout the day.

Day beds outside your bungalow and along the beachfront,

Gentle walks on the property,

Little places to sit and read your book or journal,

Take a seat at the restaurant (pictured) and sip a cup of team,

Wander back to your bungalow for a delicious day time snooze.

Don’t feel like participating in the next rounding / yoga / breathwork session? No worries - how you spend your days is for you to decide.

EVENINGS

Each evening we immerse in the Vedic tradition - with Vedic wisdom and mythos shared by Krista and Caroline, listening to mantras designed to awaken higher states of consciousness and more.

Vedic wisdom exists to uplift, inspire and expand your state of being. You’ll receive insights and upgraded perspectives to incorporate into your daily life for greater flow, harmony and abundance in all areas of life.

WHO IS THE RETREAT FOR?

The Vedic Immersion Retreat is open to all, both those with an existing Vedic meditation practice as well as those who would like to learn Vedic meditation on retreat at a significantly reduced course fee. The retreat is also for you if consistent meditation has eluded you and you desire to create a solid, daily practice.

This retreat is for you if you love the settled, expanded feeling you experience after you meditate and desire to integrate that state into your daily life.

You’re ready to enhance your experience of life - to spend more time feeling in your body (not up in your head), with more energy, patience, and adaptability. You want to expand your awareness, your self knowledge and your access to innate wisdom and intuition.

You want to let go of the old patterns that keep resurfacing when you’re stress and tired and step into the highest expression of you, with greater access to your best qualities and the unique gifts you were born with.

You want to give yourself the break from daily life that’s needed to really hit the reset button. To unwind stress and fatigue deeply held in the body. To have space held for you, rather than holding it all for everyone else.

All of the practices you will do on retreat have the intention of integrating the state of Being or Bliss into your waking state of consciousness. This means you feel more grounded in your body, have greater access to your full mental potential and your intuition, and experience stillness and silence in your mind, more and more of the time.

THE LOCATION

Quite simply, a slice of Balinese paradise.

The retreat centre on the northeast shore of Bali is unlike any other part of Bali we’ve been to.

Away from the hustle and bustle, the retreat centre is set on the coast, surrounded by towering palm trees with mountains all around. The centre is peaceful, quiet and has a deeply spiritual feeling.

On arrival, you feel your body start to relax. Simply setting foot on the property feels like a deep exhale.

The surroundings are so picture perfect, it almost feels like you’re in a movie. Picturesque loungers on the oceanfront, crystal clear blue water, gorgeous palm trees and frangipani everywhere, the pool set just metres back from the ocean. The staff at the centre are from the local area and tend to their guests with such love and devotion.

Your retreat accommodation is a bungalow with ocean views, open-air bathrooms (pictured), all designed to work with nature, not against it.

getting there

You will arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali.

The retreat centre is in Tejakula, approximately a 2 hour drive from Ubud centre. We recommend staying in Ubud the night before the retreat commences and the night following the end of the retreat, if possible.

Your transportation from Ubud to the retreat centre will leave from Ubud at 12pm on Friday 3 May. Your transportation from the retreat centre back to Ubud will drop you back to Ubud at approximately 3pm on Friday 10 May.
