Join us for the first of The Still Sessions, a monthly community offering from friends of The Still. Through Vedic practices and wisdom, you’ll continue to awaken the innate awareness, wisdom and bliss that resides within you. 

On Friday 8th March from 7pm-8:30pm, Bryony Tainton will lead us through rest + yoga nidra + sound healing. Bryony is an incredibly generous, warm and welcoming yoga teacher. This session is open to all, no previous experience with yoga or meditation necessary. 

For 90-minutes, you’ll journey through a process of releasing physical, mental and emotional tension. Bryony will create a safe space for you to truly rest and restore. A little slice of heaven to release the need to control, keep up appearances, be on the go. To allow your nervous system to regulate, digest and recover from what for many is a constant whirring juggle of appointments, technology, work commitments and social engagements.

We spend so much time multitasking - this session is a chance to find a single focus, to get out of your head and ground in your body. You’ll feel deeply held as Bryony provides the gold standard of rest. 

Yoga nidra is an incredibly powerful form of rest, with a half hour session being the equivalent of 4 hours deep and restorative sleep. Not the tossing and turning kind, the quality sleep that we need to rejuvenate, rebuild, live to our fullest potential! For anyone looking to cultivate something specific in their lives, yoga nidra is a powerful time to set intentions. During a yoga nidra practice your delta brain waves are activated, fertile for intention setting. 

The sound bowls are simply heaven. You’ll be immersed in a sound bath that will raise your energetic frequency, reverberating through the very essence of your being (your cells). The bowls induce deeply meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind and greater intuition. During a sound bath, brainwaves shift from the regular (awake) beta state to alpha (relaxed consciousness), theta (meditative state) and even delta (sleep).

All you need to do is turn up in comfortable clothes, and allow Bryony to lead you through an experience of deep rest.
